The coming years will be devoted to pursuing my scientific career as a doctoral student. I am applying for a PhD position in Australia and France. Now that I have achieved some of my life goals thanks to my diving instructor certification, I am focusing more than ever on squamates and research.

I have discussed my research interests and the projects I would like to participate in with scientists I have met at conferences and internships.

We are keeping our fingers crossed, as I will have all the answers this year. I am very excited to devote myself once again to research and long-term studies on reptiles.

Becoming a Diving Instructor - Gap year (2025)

A part of the dream : becoming a dive instructor

 

I've always been interested in the field of diving, with a view to one day becoming a professional instructor. The marine world is one of my favorite places on Earth and sharing it with others is a fantastic experience to have. As the opportunity presents itself this summer, I think it's a good time to start putting my foot down as a diving instructor.

 

I have been spending the whole summer in Corsica (France) working in a diving center called "PlongéeCastille". I'm very excited to tell you that I did succeed my exam adn that I am now a certified dive instructor !

 

Having many options in life is something I've always strived for, and what's happening now is part of my path for the future. I know things happen for a reason and I'm more than happy to be working as a professional in a field I love.
